YSSTRHM: A work of Fantasy
The story that unfolds in the fantasy world of Ysstrhm progresses through the adventures, loves, and losses of its protagonist to its climactic culmination in the following six volumes:
- Ysstrhm 1: First Flight
- Ysstrhm 2: First Quest
- Ysstrhm 3: Second Flight
- Ysstrhm 4: Second Quest
- Ysstrhm 5: Flight's End
- Ysstrhm 6: Quest's End
A seventh volume, Ysstrhm: The Book of Doors, contains descriptions, maps, glossaries, and details of personal, traditional, and historical interest that provide the reader with an overview of the unique world of Ysstrhm
Given that the six volumes of the story are works of high fantasy, the world that they presuppose is not ours. It allows a modicum of magic, distinctive customs and classifications, and flora and fauna that resemble ours only in respect to the presence of humans, cats, canines, and bees. There are, for example, no horses or other animals that may be ridden into battle. But there are battles and a good deal of suspense, mystery, quests, losses, and here and there fairly explicit sex.
